When we are called to clear a choke — whether it is from a sink, a drain, or a toilet — we begin by observing how the water behaves. Each fixture has its own way of showing distress. A sink might empty halfway, then tremble before stopping. A floor drain may fill slowly, forming a thin circle of water that refuses to move. A toilet might rise too eagerly, as though pushing back.
